Color Corrective Concealer : Green, Yellow and Lavender (Mauve)
When i browsed to find a good concealer for my face, include acne scars, under-eye circles and some spots of my face that i wish to hide, i found 3 kind of color corrective concealer. There are green, yellow, and lavender. And i was like, what? Which color should i use? Then i found this this color wheel from here.Now, before you choose which color corrective concealer, you must identify the flaw that you want to cover. Is it acne (red) or under-eye circles (blue) or else?
By using the color wheel above, you can neutralizes the color that you want to hide with the color that appear opposite on the color wheel. Example, orange neutralizes blue, yellow neutralizes violet and so on.
So from that we know that :
Green : Neutralized red tones on skin, covering blemishes, zits, red blotches, rosacea, port-wine stains.
Yellow : Conceal bluish bruises, under-eye circles and mild red tones on face.
Lavender : Normalized yellow-colored skin imperfections such as dull complexion and yellow bruises. This also help to conceal very dark under-eye circles and dark spots on bronze skin tones.
How do you apply it?
After you put the color that you choose, don't forget to cover with your shade of foundation.
